Northlands College is inviting community members in Northern Saskatchewan to have a say in shaping the institution’s future. The College has initiated a comprehensive community engagement campaign as part of its process to develop its new five-year strategic plan.
“Development of a five-year strategic plan is central to plotting a new path forward in the college’s year of transformation, and to position us to best serve the needs of our northern communities,” said Northlands College Board Chair Nick Daigneault. The College has placed a strong emphasis on economic development, with a commitment to communities across Northern Saskatchewan. In addition to community members, it will engage with past and current learners, faculty, staff, and employers to ensure the plan’s deliverables are measurable and achievable.
“The College is committed to engaging with the community and ensuring that the strategic plan aligns with the needs of Northern Saskatchewan,” said Northlands College President & CEO Karsten Henriksen. “We believe that this is a significant step forward in our ongoing commitment to the communities in the North, and we look forward to working together to achieve our goals.”
Northlands College will kick-off the community engagement process with in-depth sessions in La Ronge on May 2nd and 3rd, 2023 at its Canoe Campus. All community members are welcome and encouraged to come together for some food and to participate in discussions that will help guide the development of the five-year strategic plan.
The plan will inform work plans for the next five years and will be a vital step forward in the institution’s progress, serving as a blueprint for the College’s future growth.
Full details about the upcoming community engagement sessions will be posted in the coming week on northlandscollege.ca.
