A variety of scholarships are available. Northlands College offers entrance awards to our accepted learners based on secondary (Grade 12) marks used to gain acceptance into your program. These are generally awarded and paid in the fall. You can also check the following links

Eligibility:
- any person that has achieved rank of Flight Corporal or higher in the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Program or an equivalent rank in any successor organization), and/or any current and former Officers and Non-Commissioned Members (including Officer Cadets) of the Cadet Instructor Cadre/Cadet Organization Administration and Training Services (or any successor organizations), who have served a minimum of two years with a Royal Canadian Air Cadet unit
- must be registered in an accredited post-secondary program (min. 20 weeks) in the current academic school year
- must be attending Northlands College in La Ronge or Air Ronge, SK
Selection criteria may include:
- actual rank and proficiency level achieved
- participation in Air Cadet summer training courses
- participation in extracurricular Air Cadet activities
- awards
- other achievements as noted by Unit Commanding Officer
Value: $1,000 paid towards tuition, book, and other demonstrable expenses

Entrance Scholarship (First year as full time):
- Five Northlands College-wide awards are available valued at $1000 each.
Continuing Entry Scholarships:
- Five Northlands College-wide awards are available valued at $1000 each.
Eligibility:
- Must have full-time learner standing in an accredited university program.
- Can be a previous part-time university learner.
Selection Criteria:
- Entrance scholarships are merit based using the highest average of five subjects: English A and B 30; a Math 20 or 30 level credit; a Science 20 or 30 level credit; and a Social Science 30 credit.
- Continuing entry scholarships are determined based on the 18 highest credit units (generally six classes) from the previous year.
Adult 12 Completion Awards:
- Four Northlands College-wide awards are available valued at $1000 each.
Eligibility:
- Must have full-time student standing (20 hours per week throughout the academic year) in an Adult 12 program.
- Must complete requirements for a program in the current academic school year.
- Must be the first time achieving a Grade 12 standing.
Selection Criteria:
- Completion awards are merit based using the highest average of five subjects: English A and B 30; a Math 20 or 30 level credit; a Science 20 or 30 level credit; and a Social Science 30 credit.
- Instructor marks rather than final marks will be used from the second semester.
- Attendance will be used to break any tie.
- Attendance must be at or above 90% and the academic average must be over 65%.
Entrance Scholarships (First Year):
- Three awards per eligible program are available valued at $1000 each.
Continuing Entry Scholarships (Second Year):
- One award per eligible program is available valued at $500 each.
Completion Award:
- One award per eligible program is available valued at $1000 each.
Eligibility:
- Must be registered in an industry recognized certificate/diploma program from an accredited educational institution that is 36 weeks or longer.
Selection Criteria:
- Entrance scholarships are based on the highest average of the five core subjects and two electives of the prerequisite grade level or higher for program of entry.
- Continuing entry scholarships are based on the highest average of the previous year’s marks.
- Completion awards recipients are determined based on final average (65%), attendance (25%) and instructor deemed job readiness (10%).
Entrance Scholarships (First Year):
- One award per eligible program is available valued at $500 each.
Continuing Entry Scholarships (Second Year):
- One award per eligible program is available valued at $500 each.
Completion Award:
- One award per eligible program valued at $750 each.
Eligibility:
- Must be registered in an applied or industry recognized certificate/diploma program from an accredited educational institution that is 20 weeks or longer.
Selection Criteria:
- Entrance scholarships are based on the highest average of the five core subjects and two electives of the prerequisite grade level or higher for program of entry.
- Continuing entry scholarships are based on the highest average of the previous year’s marks.
- Completion award recipients are determined based on the highest final average.
INDIGENOUS SPONSORSHIPS
For First Nations Post-Secondary learner support, apply for funding at your local band office. Your post-secondary coordinator will assist you with the application process.

Each program at Northlands College has different entrance requirements. Please review the details for each program carefully before submitting an application.

NOTE: Full fees are payable on or prior to the learners first day of classes, or in accordance with the standard installment payment schedule subject to approval by a counsellor. Installment payment schedules shall apply only to tuition, not books and learning materials. Learners with outstanding accounts will not be issued credentials until accounts are settled in full. Admission to future programs will also be denied.
