Adult 12 Tri-Trades – Clearwater River Dene Nation (CRDN)

The Adult 12 / Tri-Trades program is designed for adult students who want to achieve a Saskatchewan Grade 12 standing while gaining hands-on experience in the skilled trades. Students complete the seven credits required for an Adult 12 while participating in the SIIT Tri-Trades program, which introduces learners to three key construction trades: carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. The program develops job skills, workplace safety knowledge, and trade readiness to support entry-level employment and future apprenticeship opportunities.  A minimum of five credits must be at the 30-level.

Areas of study include:

  • English Language Arts 30
  • Financial Literacy 30
  • Mathematics (20 or 30 level)
  • Science (20 or 30 level)
  • Indigenous Studies 30
  • Two 30-level elective credits

Students who successfully complete the Tri-Trades component will earn two 30-level elective credits toward their Adult 12 requirements, helping them meet the requirements for Saskatchewan Grade 12 standing.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 18 years of age and out of high school for at least one year.
  • Adult 10 or Grade 10 standing, or
  • Score at the Adult 12 level on an academic assessment. After you apply, we will contact you to complete the assessment.
  • Must be a member of the Clearwater River Dene Nation.

REQUIRED DOCMENTS

  • Adult 10 Transcript or a completed Academic Assessment showing skills at the Adult 12 level.

PROGRAM DATE

  • September 8, 2026 – June 12, 2027

APPLICATION DEADLINE

  • This program accepts students all year until all seats are taken. If the program is full, qualified students will be put on a waitlist.

ACCREDITATION

  • Government of Saskatchewan, Ministry of Education and SIIT (Tri-Trades).
