The Board of Directors of Northlands College is pleased to announce the appointment of Karsten Henriksen as President & CEO of Northlands College. Mr. Henriksen will assume responsibility for the position effective immediately.
Karsten Henriksen brings to the College extensive experience supporting Indigenization and Entrepreneurship in post-secondary education across Canada. Most recently, he has led the start-up of the Centre for Indigenous Health Leadership in British Columbia.
Henriksen’s experience in the northern higher education is informed by his extensive work as Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer at Nunavut Arctic College, where he led transformational initiatives in academics, administration and applied research.
In addition to his work at Arctic College, Henriksen has served as a post- secondary leader in Northern Alberta, British Columbia, and the Yukon.
