1. Sponsor
The My Northlands Journey Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Northlands College (the “Sponsor”).
This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media platform.
2. Contest Period
The Contest begins on February 4 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST) and ends on April 29 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CST (the “Contest Period”).
The Contest will run for approximately twelve (12) weeks, with new prompts released every two (2) weeks during the Contest Period.
3. Eligibility
To be eligible to enter and win, participants must:
- Be a current or former Northlands College student
- Be a legal resident of the Province of Saskatchewan
- Be eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry
Employees of Northlands College may submit testimonials but are not eligible to win prizes.
The Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time.
4. How to Enter
No purchase is necessary to enter or to win.
During the Contest Period, Northlands College will publish official contest prompt posts approximately every two (2) weeks (each, an “Official Prompt”).
To be eligible, entries must be submitted in direct response to an Official Prompt and within the two‑week period immediately following the publication of that Official Prompt.
Participants may enter by responding to an Official Prompt during its associated two‑week entry window by submitting:
- A written testimonial (one [1] entry), or
- A video testimonial (two [2] entries)
Each eligible submission must:
- Include the participant’s Program and Location
- For alumni, include the year(s) the Program was taken
- Tag or clearly mention Northlands College
- Be submitted from a public account or platform so the entry can be viewed by the Sponsor
- Be respectful, appropriate, and relevant to the Contest prompt
Bonus Entry: One (1) additional entry for the bi-weekly gift card draw may be earned per submission by tagging a friend. These additional bonus entries are not eligible for the grand prize draw.
5. Prizes
The following prizes are available to be won:
- Six (6) Bi‑weekly $50 gift card and Northlands College merchandise prize pack draws (approximate total value: $75)
- One (1) grand prize draw at the conclusion of the Contest (approximate value: $500)
- Total approximate prize value: $950
Prizes:
- Must be accepted as awarded
- Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
Are subject to substitution at the Sponsor’s discretion if necessary
Prize Pickup:
All prizes must be picked up in person by the confirmed winner from a Northlands College campus location. Available campus pickup locations include:
- La Ronge
- Buffalo Narrows
- Creighton
See our contact page for addresses of campus locations. Prizes will not be shipped or mailed. Winners must present valid identification at the time of pickup. If a winner is unable to pick up their prize within a reasonable timeframe as determined by the Sponsor, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.
6. Winner Selection & Skill‑Testing Question
Eligible entries will be entered into random draws conducted by the Sponsor.
- Bi‑weekly draws will be conducted from all eligible entries received during each two‑week period
- The grand prize draw will be conducted from all eligible entries received during the entire Contest Period
Before being declared a winner, a selected entrant must:
- Correctly answer a time‑limited mathematical skill‑testing question, as required by Canadian law
- Confirm eligibility
- Agree to be bound by these Official Rules
If a selected entrant cannot be contacted, does not respond within five (5) business days, answers the skill‑testing question incorrectly, or is deemed ineligible, the Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate winner.
7. Use of Personal Information
Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Contest, including contacting selected entrants and awarding prizes, in accordance with applicable privacy legislation and Northlands College policies.
8. Content Rights & License
By entering the Contest, participants grant Northlands College a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, worldwide, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, and display submitted content, in whole or in part, for promotional, marketing, and educational purposes, including but not limited to:
- Social media platforms
- College websites
- Marketing and advertising materials
- Internal and external publications
Content may be used during the Contest and thereafter, including indefinitely, without further compensation.
9. Moderation & Disqualification
All submissions must be respectful and appropriate.
The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to moderate, remove, or disqualify any submission that is offensive, inappropriate, misleading, infringes on third‑party rights, or is not aligned with the values of Northlands College.
10. Limitation of Liability
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Northlands College, its employees, officers, and agents from any liability, loss, or damage arising from participation in the Contest or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.
11. General Conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest at any time if circumstances beyond its control compromise the integrity or proper administration of the Contest.
All decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding.
