Northlands College and Cape Breton University Sign Memorandum of Agreement to Deliver MBA Program in Northern Saskatchewan

MBA Program in Northern Saskatchewan

[Saskatchewan – July 30, 2024] –Northlands College and Cape Breton University have signed a Memorandum of Agreement to deliver the Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development (MBA in CED) program at Northlands College in La Ronge Saskatchewan. The program aims to offer a high-quality graduate degree opportunity for leaders and administrators across Northern Saskatchewan.

The MBA in CED will commence its first cohort at Northlands College in January 2025. Its curriculum includes the fundamental business subjects found in traditional MBA programs, with a special focus on applying business and management concepts through the lens of community economic development.  The program will be delivered in a weekend format designed to accommodate working professionals.

Karsten Henriksen, President & CEO of Northlands College, commented on the agreement: “We are pleased to partner with Cape Breton University to bring this MBA program to Northern Saskatchewan. This collaboration aligns with our mission to provide accessible, high-quality education that meets the needs of our communities.
