Certificate
The Carpentry certificate is a 32‑week program that builds essential knowledge and hands‑on skills for work in residential, commercial, and related construction sectors. Students should be prepared for physical work and have strong math skills. Training combines classroom theory, practical shop experience, and a two‑week work placement. Topics include safe tool use, construction documents, quantity surveying, site layout, concrete work, foundations, framing, building envelopes, exterior and roof finishing, and interior finishing such as doors, trim, and cabinetry. Graduates may receive trade time and academic credit toward a carpentry apprenticeship.
