This 12-week program helps learners develop/enhance basic skills needed for entry level work in residential or commercial construction. Learners will develop skills in job readiness, site safety, use of portable and stationary tools, basics of the construction industry, residential renovation and maintenance, and trades math by learning about the carpentry, drywall, and roofing trades. Learners will also get a basic introduction to electrical and plumbing trades.
Upon successful completion learners can find entry level employment with residential and commercial construction companies, carpentry contractors, and maintenance departments of factories, plants and other establishments as construction trades helpers and labourers.

Selections to be made by Athabasca Education, Employment and Development Committee (AEEDC).
Preference will be given to applicants with a proven record of reliability and punctuality.
