This 12‑week program provides essential training for aspiring powerline technicians, combining classroom instruction with hands‑on experience. Students learn math, physical fitness, pole climbing, First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, and key safety and equipment skills. Applicants must be able to work at heights over 36 metres, in confined spaces, in all weather, with high voltage, have accurate colour perception, and possess basic math skills. Graduates may receive trade time and academic credit when registering as apprentices.
Applicants within a few credits of obtaining a Grade 12 may be considered for the program after the application deadline.
