
[La Ronge, Saskatchewan – July 4, 2024] – Northlands College is pleased to announce the ratification of a three-year collective agreement with the Saskatchewan Government Employees Union (SGEU) – Local 4253. This agreement features 3-3-2 increase in wages throughout the term of the collective agreement while, introducing new strategies to support truth and reconciliation.
Karsten Henriksen, President and CEO of Northlands College, welcomed the agreement noting “the dedicated work of the SGEU Negotiating Team and the College’s Bargaining Committee which has culminated in the ratification of this important new agreement”.
“This agreement demonstrates strong commitment to Northlands College’s key role in serving the needs of its students and communities across the north,” Advanced Education Minister Colleen Young said. “I look forward to seeing the College and its staff move ahead together and continue to provide exceptional educational experiences that prepare learners for our growing labour force
