This remarkable turnaround comes after a challenging period where the college experienced a 57% decline in enrollment over several years. The year 2023 marked a pivotal moment in Northlands College’s history, embarking on a transformational journey with the goal of becoming the college of choice for Northern Saskatchewan.
Karsten Henriksen, President & CEO of Northlands College, expressed his elation, stating, “The 19% increase in enrollment is a testament to the relentless efforts and unwavering dedication of our faculty and staff over the past nine months. We made a promise to our communities to indigenizing our approach, enhance and diversify our programs, and create a nurturing and empowering environment for our learners. This increase reflects our commitment to delivering on that promise and is one step on our journey of transformation.”
