Indigenous Practical Nursing – La Ronge

Diploma – Year Two       

The Northlands College Indigenous Practical Nursing (IPN) – Year 2 Program is the second year of a two-year, full-time diploma program that prepares students to deliver culturally responsive care with integrated western and Indigenous health approaches. This program, brokered through SIIT, provides cutting edge classroom learning, enhanced labs, practicum, and preceptorship experiences,

through which students gain skills to support diverse communities.

Graduates who pass the CPNRE are eligible for licensure with the CLPNS and can work as Licensed Practical Nurses in various settings.

  • Transcripts confirming completion of Indigenous Practical Nursing – Year 1
*Students accepted into the program must submit a current criminal record check, a vulnerable sector check, a class 5 drivers license and their immunization records before starting any practicum placement. Students who do not provide these documents may not be able to complete the program.
