Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Registered nurses are in extremely high demand all across Saskatchewan. Graduates of Bachelor of Science in Nursing enjoy careers in community/public health agencies, clinics, hospitals, long-term care facilities, psychiatric offices, rehabilitation services, schools, and seniors’ homes and facilities.

Full- and part-time studies available.

Applicants must be proficient in the English language.

Pre-professional (Year 1)
Learners must complete 30 credit units of required and elective courses with a minimum average of 60%. Some year 1 courses include lab components, which are only available in La Ronge and Buffalo Narrows. Year 1 learners in the La Loche or Ile-a-la-Crosse areas must be prepared to travel to Buffalo Narrows for at least one lab component.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Years 2 – 4)
Upon completion of year 1, Learners will be eligible to apply to the College of Nursing. Admission to the College of Nursing is competitive based on Year 1 standings; seats are limited.

Students must complete clinicals in Years 2 – 4. Travel outside of home community may be necessary.

*Criminal Record or Vulnerable Sector Checks may be required for clinical placements.

Pre-Professional Year: Buffalo Narrows, Creighton, Ile a la Crosse, La Loche, and La Ronge
Years 2-4: Ile a la Crosse & La Ronge

Grade 12 diploma with:

  • Foundations of Mathematics 30 or Pre-Calculus 30*
  • Biology 30*
  • Chemistry 30*
  • Overall average of 70% in core subjects
Year 1: Buffalo Narrows; Ile-a-la-Crosse; La Loche; La Ronge
Years 2-4: Ile-a-la-Crosse; La Ronge
